My art work reflects my passion for beautiful visual images in both 2 and 3 dimensional form and my most recent pieces are manifested in hand shaped wood. As an educated and trained artist, I am fascinated by the intricate perfection in the architecture of organic forms found in nature.

For example, the 'Golden Rule' and the Fibonacci mathematical theories are derived from the proportions of the spirals found in the Nautilus.

As an artist in wood, I appreciate the symmetry of turned vessels and the natural complexity, appearance and colours of the grain structure in wood. So, I employ these elements in my wood art, using exotic local hardwoods from Malaysia which I shape through woodturning and carving.

My carvings often reflect the organic complexity and beauty of the natural world, while my woodturning generates pieces that display the beauty of the grain structure in wood.

All of my work is done by hand using standard traditional woodworking hand-tools and machinery and I never use lasers or CNC machines.
